Charred Sculptural High Chair – Branch Form with Organic Elevation
With a presence both grounded and elemental, this tall charred chair features a twisting, root-like base that seems to grow from the earth. The flowing structure, reminiscent of gnarled branches or exposed roots, balances an elevated seat and curved backrest for a bold, poetic form.
Chainsaw-carved from solid hardwood and finished using the traditional Shou Sugi Ban technique, the surface is deeply blackened and textured, preserving the tool marks and natural grain beneath its charred exterior.
