Brutalist Sculptural Armchair, Solid Burnt Oak Wood, Organic
There are very few objects that can genuinely be called both a chair and a sculpture. This is one of them. Carved from a single solid log, the entire structure grows organically from the material, with the negative space carved through the piece as intentional and expressive as anything left standing. The result is something that looks as much like a living form as it does a seat.
The surface is entirely hand-worked, with tool marks and textured carving covering every face of the piece. The deep ebonized finish pulls it all into a unified matte black that gives the chair a commanding, almost monumental presence without hiding any of the craft beneath it.
